The Family Guy
When this show first came out I thought it was going to be more stupid than The Simpsons ever were. I'm a mature, hardworking, honest, Mom. I don't have time for nonsensical tv that is crude and crass and meaningless.
And then I watched it!
Do you watch? This is probably the funniest television show on regular (non-cable) tv. Absolutely hilarious!
Yes, its crass, politically incorrect, random and rude. If you don't have a sick sense of humor, don't watch it. But if you have a hard time laughing at television--even comedians who get paid to make you laugh, then this is the show for you. Check it out.
Your sides will hurt.

Oh my God. I love it.

South Park > Family Guy for pure, unabashed satircal humor.

Did you see the season premiere--the Star Wars parody? I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

I agree with Edgewise. South Park rules over all.

Family Guy really sucks this season. I thought the Star Wars episode was absolute trash. I don't know if I laughed once. And I've been a fan since the original airings of the show years and years ago, before it got cancelled. This week's was pretty good, about the illegal immigrants, but for the most part, this season has been a huge dissapointment and let down. I guess nothing good can last forever. The Simpsons at least stayed funnier longer, no matter how much it sucks now.

i agree with Malone. this season has had a few good laughs, but over all isn't as good as it could be. all my favorite episodes are from the first two seasons...

SP and Family Guy are both edgy but Drawn Together pushed the envelope over the tables edge.

My absolute favourite show ever =D My sister has been watching it since she was two. Yah, I know, pretty young, but she loved it. And she yelled at the TV when they swore! As for me, I don't know how long, but it's awesome.

Spongebob is absolutely brilliant. At first I thought it was stupid but now I've come to love it. I've even got a spongebob teddy at home!
Family is funny but I got tired of it after a while when I realised that every joke had a stupid flashback. I couldn't take it. The Simpsons forever!

I didn't. I'm sure what I've been watching are reruns. Hilarious though--so stupidly, crass, crude and ridiculously funny! My ribs hurt from laughing everytime I watch.

I also thought it was stupid, but when I watched it, i laughed so hard. Better humour than the Simpsons. But Family can't outrun South Park.

Stupid show. I used to watch it, but it got more and more disjointed and random (and lazy).
The Simpsons suffers from the same problem, but not nearly as extreme. South Park, however, has matured from a stupid show based on potty humor and shock into a show that seamlessly blends potty humor, shock value, and socio-political commentary into a wickedly sharp satire.

Nods to Southpark... their material will never run dry becuase it's topical. Simpsons and Family Guy get old faster. Maybe Southpark will be more dated in 40 years? Who knows?

Forty years is a long time to give any show to run with. My bet is they'll all be done producing new episodes in less than ten (more years). Not that your comment isn't valid, it's just on the wrong scale. Afterall, these guys have got to retire/die sometime and things could fall apart anytime.
