I was listening to BBC Radio 4 (Great Station - Best Radio in the World - The Bastion of Englishness etc etc

)
And they were talking about a American Surgeon who developed Chopan like musical abilities after being hit by a bolt of lightning.
He had not shown such musical abilities in his life previously or was interested in music.
What does that tell us?
That we all have musical abilities and it requires trigger to express itself?
Like Road Dahl being hit on the head? or like that surgeon with bolt of lightning?
or these individuals always had a latent talent but required a trigger?
What say you chaps and chappesses?
Do we all need a knock on our head to be creative?
