Anyone meet Stephen King in real life?

Care to share your story?

What was your experience? How did you feel like? Was your heart racing? Were you all giddy standing next the world's greatest horror master? Were you bowing before him? Did you think of kissing his feet, the way Mary Magdeline kissed Jesus?

*raises hand*

Didn't think much about it. Seemed like anyone else in person. Very friendly and down to earth.

yes, I met Lovecraft. I conjured him in a cabin using reel to reel audio.

but seriously, I met King at a Red Sox game and he came across as a creepy perv.

Everyone at a Red Sox game is a creepy perv. It's the lights. Especially after a few sips of their beer.

I'm good friends with him. We sit around by the fire and massage each other's shoulders. He has great, strong hands.

I met him a long time ago. Some time after he wrote Christine and The Shining. I rode by his mansion a few times. I think one of my brothers were briefly acquainted with him in the Upper Bound program. I'll have to ask.

I haven't met King. But I think it would be creepy. After I saw 1408..

Reminds me of a line from a comedy:
" The guy from the gas station looked at Steven King in the eyes. That night he (the guy) lost 200 pounds"

I haven't, but have had a couple friends who have and they said he's friendly and approachable.
