For starters, you should use a fat hairy guy with zits instead of a hot brunette for an avatar. Then change your name to fat_hairy_zitty_writer. That should clear that PM problem right up.

At least its highbrow degradation.
Captain- I dont believe that usernames, avatars, sigs. etc. make or break someone, just like in real life its the content of a girls character *posts* that draw people in *struts*

If that's the case you'll never have to worry about me as long as you keep your signature due to my freakishly intense hatred of Virginia Wolf.

I get compliments sometimes.
And I got hate mail once, but since it was from Thoth, it doesn't count, I don't think.

Really??
Im so sad. I know she was insane, extremely unnatractive and not sexy in the least BUT she was a BRILLIANT writer, a tormented soul and very sensual (which is far superior to sexy.)
One of the most prolific female writers of modern times.
How can you hate her?!

Doesn't that make it all compliments then?

She could look like miss friggin' Universe for all I care, I can't stand her writing. A couple of months ago I was forced to read "To the lighthouse" while studying literature and while I usually like pretty much all books, from the classics to Harry Potter, I had to force myself through that piece of crap. For once, I didn't really like the plot but that's not the point, I've read half-decent plots before and still enjoyed a book. Her use of language on the other hand... I just can't stand it. I can't exactly put my finger of what I loath about it but loath it I do. Which I made everyone I met last spring very aware of by doing long, semi-sane rants about her.
I won't deny her importance to litterature but I'll never like her as a writer.
