we have all agreed by the sounds of it that harry potters ending could be alot better!

so a little project, write and post your own endings, i reckon i will print it n stick it in my book hehe, start from were lv is defeated or before dunt really matter but write a bit of the actual book so we no where we are.

i wish i could write or it wouldnt be a problem hehe

I don't really feel like writing an entire new ending but here's what happens in mine.

Ginny dies from Bellatrix
Mrs. Weasley dies in the duel with Bellatrix. (let's be realistic about it)
Harry Kills Bellatrix out of anger.
Neville kills Voldomort from behind while he is so focused on Harry (who the prophecy isn't even about.) Harry's connection to Voldomort is a result of nothing more than his mother giving up his life for him. Not the prophecy.
Everyone goes "wtf?"
Harry becomes a teacher at Hogwarts, and a pretty pissy one at that. Neville is still teaches Herbology, but quits soon after, realizing that he has much more potential discovering new ways to use plants than teaching kids.

ummm, and somewhere in there Fluer gets topless.

I'll give a proper ending. Something I wanted to see happen.

Hermione/Ron/Ginny dies while Harry is playing possum when Hagrid picks him up. No happily ever after for Harry. He lives on in the memory that he could've prevented the death(s) had he chosen to wake up from his bluff earlier instead of waiting in Hagrid's hands.

Snape remains a cold blooded murderer and comes face to face with harry and harry pwns him in the end.

Harry uses the killing curse multiple times (killing several death eaters after witnessing a few of his friends fall - like neville or luna, etc etc) and in view of all his own killings to end Voldemort's, snaps his own wand and vows never to do magic again. After defeating the big baddy of course.

...

Or something like that.

I would have preferred to see Neville kill Bellatrix, and I might have cut/changed the epilogue, but that's about it.

I'm happy with the main part of the book as it is. I would love to rewrite the epilogue though. however i haven't studied the harry potter books enough the write properly so it would fit with the rest of the book. I think it would be fun to read a rewritten epilogue though..

ya no you all boast about how great writers you are and correcting everyone elses mistakes but yet you make no effort what so ever to write a decent reply let alone write a decent epiloge for harry potter ending.

Never boasted, so I have nothing to lose by attempting this little stunt.

I guess it would pick up after the first round of the battle before Voldemort has his forces retreat back in to the Forbidden Forest. Fred would die, Percy, out of rage, goes to avenge him only to be killed as well as he attacks the retreating forces (rage blinds people after all, magical or not). Hagrid would have been killed by the giant spiders. Admit it, Voldemort wouldn't want him alive. Let the spiders kill him and he disappears, letting your mind wonder what the spiders did to him. Grawp would have had his giant head handed to him after taking on numerous fully grown giants. I can't see how Ginny would have survived. Mrs. Weasley still would have won. She was in a rage, but she was focused. Harry runs off in to the woods, and I would cut out the whole scene where he goes back and sees Dumbledore, it was just stupid to make amends between Harry and Albus like that. Voldemort would've been knocked back on his ass, got up, been pissed and would have had everyone stand back as he took on Harry by himself (again, but nothing else logically fits at this point). Voldemort doesn't have full control of the Elder Wand, and eventually gets so wrapped up in the battle that he loses his protective cover over Nagini. Realizing this, Harry kills the snake, and Voldemort just collapses (this is a book, not some movie with a lot of light shows and everything. Let's keep it realistic). Seeing this, the death eaters flee, and harry returns in one piece to great applause. He and Ginny go off together.

I would remove the epologue, but since it's in, Teddy would have been adopted already. For simplicity's sake, Harry and Ginny would still be together, same with Hermione and Ron. I would have never mentioned Draco at all. Neville would not have been mentioned unless I extended the epologue enough to explain he's doing some study deep in the amazon discovering new plants and such.

That's about all I have for 5 min of brainstorming.

why are Potter fans so obsessed with death?
Seriously, I've been looking at all these ending posts on different forums and it's all like: yeah, he died but I thought he should have died so she should live. Rowling should have got her to kill him by using this and killing him. If I'd have had a say, I'd have got him to use this and stab him.
