Do u write under a pen name or your name?
Just out of curiosity do u write using a pen name or do u use your real name?
And if u use a pen name what it is and how did u come up with it?

I write under my pen name Orchestra.Simply because one day in music we learnt about Beethoven's 9th (or whatever it is) and i thought to myself, 'Orchestrating a Masterpiece'. SO i use this name and phrase to the current day.

In my stories I would use my initials, but my full last name; and in this forum I use "Galt" because it is from my favorite book, Atlas Shrugged. ("Who is John Galt?" is the catchphrase in the book.)

I string my first and middle names together, then followed by my last name. All real names, just a slight variation. So while I'm known in real life generally as 'Lisa', I change it to 'Lisa Jane *insert my last name*.

i've done both... and you should have that option available in your poll, btw...
the noms de plume i used in my old life were based on my real name, but made androgenous, so it wasn't apparent that i was female... yes, it still makes a difference to some degree, when seeking an agent/publisher... at least it did back then [80s/90s]...

I use a variation of my real name (first two initials and surname). Have never used a nom de plume.

I use both ...
I'd like to say it was to save myself from unwanted media attention and the glare of the public eye ...but really it started out of embarrassment when I had a piece of erotica accepted
