Geekiest Moments

Okay this is the Internet, so I'm sure they're some geeky people out there. Well it's confession time. It's okay, no one's really going to care and if they do chance are they won't be able to find you to deliver the wedgie. Share you're geekist moments, accomplishments and experiences.

I'll go first.

I spent this last spring break driving half way across the country (from Utah to Illinious) to see a giant, concrete statue of Superman. That was the whole goal. I would have gone to Batcave North Carolina but I figured that was a little to far.

Okay, who's next?

I waste my time arguing on the internet about stupid shit with a bunch of people I don't know, who have no effect on my life, instead of doing stuff I actually like to do, like write, play guitar, draw, go for walks, ride my bike, hang out with my son, etc.

^^ That's not geeky, that's bitching!

I picked up a woman on the internet before the web came into being, but the biggie would have to be form 5 (year 11) physics, when the teacher was having problems getting across the idea of relativity & I asked so many questions I had to give the class lecture on it.

Years ago, I went to an SF convention in Omaha, Nebraska; I have one of the old "Red Shirt" uniforms from the classic Star Trek series. I put it on, grab my phaser and communicator and hit the party suites. I stumbled into an elevator filled with Klingons. Oh, yeah, that was fun. Although, I did have a very close encounter with a buxom Klingon babe and got a faceful of Klingon kleaveage--and then some . . . .

I don't know if this is geeky enough for you but it was sure as hell embarrasing. Earlier this year I walked out of the toilet block with my skirt tucked into my undies. But hey no matter how embarrasing something is your better of laughing it off because everyone else will and then they'll soon forget about it.

Apparently my love for anime is my geek side.

ha! i've done two of those...

i once tucked my dress into my tights in elementary school and didn't notice until a teacher pointed it out...

and also, once while i was living in the country i was out for a run and the drawstring to my pants came undone and my pants slowly slipped down my legs. i totally didn't notice for like a full five seconds... laughing... luckily it was pretty rural, so probably no one saw anyway.

Imaginary boyfriend has to be somewhere on the geeky side. I think I went to far with it though. I invented an entire background story, pretended to make out with him, wrote letters and poems that he supposedly wrote me, and wrote small essays explaining why I liked him so much--just to show that it wasn't infatuation.

I'm really glad I got over that phase.

Dancing and singing to N'Sync's "Bye, Bye, Bye" when I'm alone.

Reading books nonstop and holding conversations with teachers about books. Staying online/ indoors and never going out with my friends.

le sigh...

LISA:

By now you had to have noticed the POG below.

I have a killer collection. AND I have that one TOO.........

Do you think this might be worth some money now??? You seem to know "the anime".

You can just shoot me a P.M. if you think that it's more appropriate.

:::NOW MY MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT IS THIS:::

I think, hands DOWN, it's when I started my period when I was 11 in gym class wearing white shorts.

Hah! I still have all my pogs and slammers! Boy, we used to have an entire store devoted to pogs back when the fad was at its prime... Now my collection of shiny discs is worth almost nothing.

My geekiest moment would have to be, hands down, when I flirted with a girl online in a very sickening, twisted way (before that it was just when I flirted with a girl on another forum).
