Ebay
I recently set up a ebay account, as well as Paypal, in order to sell items (music) and i was wondering if anyone has used it and can tell me some tips on selling and what the process is like.
Also, say someone bought something from you, do you simply get a box for your item at the post office and send it?
I'm trying to get cash for college and I have over 200 cds so...haha, any help welcome.
Thanks

It's a good idea to have a separate account from your main one for ANY internet transactions. Never have more than a modest amount in it.
I've had no problems with paypal & while I haven't sold anything, I've had only one problem with ebay purchases.
To cover yourself, simply include as standard an insurance option for sending stuff.
There are other payment processors such as moneybookers & stormpay. MB is cheaper than the others, SP the most expensive, & PP the most widespread.
SP sends checks, while both PP & MB will deliver money straight to your account, after verification.
Normal PR rules apply on ebay; smart ads will draw more bites than plain or boring ones.

Always make sure the package has to be signed for when delivered and always get insurance. If the buyer says that he/she never got the package then Ebay will remove the money from your account and refund it. At least with a signature and insurance you are covered.

No problems at all, except that because I didn't buy delivery confirmation, I had to pay a guy back for a pretty expensive package. Not only did I lose 40-50 CDs, but I also lost $100.
That's all, though. And no problems with eBay.

Is doesnt matter what account you use if you use Paypal because you only supply paypal with your account details.
Just watch out for fake emails pupportedly from paypal and ebay. Dont use paypal from a cyber cafe. Dont leave feedback until you have your money or have checked your item if you are a buyer.
Ebay is safe and easy if you are careful.

I never had problems, the onlt problems you can have are with people who don't pay, whine, bitch, and so on, but usually it doesn't happen to often...
I use my one and only checking account for paypal/ebay and I never had a problem.

And that certainly isn't unique to eBay
