Writing programs

I'm there there's a post similar to this elsewhere but I'm lazy and don't feel like looking.

Do any of you use any sort of writing programs or special organization methods for your writings?

There's a lot of fancy-pants programs out there, and some look like they will do half the writing for you. That's pretty scary.

I've been poking around with various programs over the past few weeks. I finally found one that I really like, called QuickPlot. It's a simple a way to organize your writing and gives you the ability to flip through it easily. It's basically all I ever wanted in a program to help me get stuff organized.

So what about you guys?

lisajane is an unknown quantity at this point
I don't really see the point in using fancy programs for writing. I just use Word (for the actual writing) and Excel (for notes, most of which are on paper anyway).

I downloaded Script Maker at some point for scripts, but spent about five minutes there and went straight back to Word for scripts (using styles).

After trying the fancy programs, I really don't like them either.

That's why I like simple ^-^

Lucky me, then. QuickPlot isn't supposed to help you improve your writing.

imo, using a writing program and calling yourself a writer is akin to using bisquick and calling yourself a pastry chef...
