This seems like something that would be a common post, but there's no way I'm going through 34 pages of posts to make sure I'm not making a duplicate.
I went through the first two, and didn't see something similar, so here it is.
What made you want to start writing? And when did you start?
I started writing when I was a little kid, for reasons I can't really fathom. I can promise you my fantasy "novels" were terribly cheesy and very poorly written (although the spelling wasn't too bad) but I wrote ALL the time, and I think my many years of trying and failing has helped me. (though I can't really be sure) hehehe.
