If you have been directed here from the ten minute thread click here.

I was doing research for a story I am working on and I came upon the She-inal. Though I am confused how this contraption works. Apparently its a womans Urinal

It looks like they have some kind protective paper, you know like what they have for toilets seats, for this thing. Its seems unsanitary.

I think a hole in the floor would work better for a woman than that thing. Although, I've seen video footage of women peeing standing up, so maybe they could use men's urinals.

Gohn, it should be fairly obvious how the She-inal thing would work. "Funnel-like device" doesn't give you a clue? And yes, it is very unsanitary. With this design protective paper probably wouldn't really be practical (it could get quite messy in fact). A disposable plastic shield might help but it would still be very unpleasant. I for one am very glad that She-inals never caught on.

Yea, I figured it out. For some reason I kept think that they had to sit somehow, but now I realize that the whole purpose is to do it standing up.
She-inals = one of the worst inventions ever.

The curiosity bug has bit again. May I ask why your story would require research in this area? I hope you weren't planning to torture any of your female characters with this contraption or similar ones.

My story has nothing to do with the She-inal. I was just researching urinal designs, for a scene in a bathroom. I just happened to come across it and found it interesting.

Darn! I was hoping it did. Do you mind if I take a stab at coming up with a story involving the She-inal when I have a little time?

Thanks. It will probably be a while before I get to it but I'll let you know when I do. I haven't posted anything on WF for a while so maybe this would be a good “comeback” piece.
