Artists
Are there any artists out there, and if so what do you enjoy doing (drawing, painting, sculpting ect...)?

I have tried all of those before, but I was never any good at them.
I tried photography once too, but my teacher thought that all my pictures looked the same.

I tried to paint a still life in a realistic fashion, but my art teacher thought I was doing abstractism.

I don't know if I would go so far as to call myself an artist, but I've always liked to draw. I started painting while at art college but a family emergency pulled me away from all of that. One day I'd like to be able to paint like the top fantasy artists like Royo. Not high on the priorities list though.

I have always had an easy time with depth perception, as to how it relates to art. And I have been able to draw quite well since an early age, but because I refuse to use any perspective lines I loath the first few minutes of a drawing. The reason being: Every object has a different perspective, as it sits in relation to the page. If you don't know what branch to start on the drawing can have a whole different feel than if you were to redraw it. (Thats sketching anyhow, but painting is far more forgiving.)

I do my fair share of drawing with emphasis on graphite and other mediums of pencil.

I wish I could paint. I want to paint with thick oils, and give the surface lots of texture.
Anyway, I sketch. It can be relaxing and absorbing at the same time. The result can be quite satisfying. And sitting out somewhere sketching is a great conversation starter.
