Favourite Thespians...

My favourite thespians are: Stephen Fry, Rupert Graves, Robert Sean Leonard and newcomer Hugh Dancy.

Dancy makes it onto the list mainly because he studied Literature at uni rather than drama.

Fry amazes me (in a good way) every time he opens his mouth.

Leonard because he's a 'smiling person'

Graves because to watch him in anything is to be moved.

And of course, they all did their theatre apprenticeship, and I think they are all talented actors.

Any comments? Anyone else to add to the list?

I know nothing of theatre, but in filmic terms the most talented mainstream actor currently working is probably Sean Penn. I'm waiting for a chance to watch The Interpreter and The Assassination of Richard Nixon...

Nathan Lane- He makes me laugh just sitting quietly and isn't afraid to take chances.

Mandy Patinkin- He has an intensity I really like.

Is he the one who played Inigo in 'The Princess Bride'? That's the only thing I know him from, but that line will (should) go down in history: 'Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You kill my father. Prepare to die.' Classic!
