I just saw an advertisement at the bottom of the page that read, and I quote: "Helped send 19 poor kids to college."

I had to read it over twice before I got what it was intended to mean

Or maybe it was supposed to be a play on words.

I don't get it.

Doesnt it mean that this person paid for the tuition to send low income kids to college? at least thats how I interpreted.

Yes, I think that's what it means. But the first time I read it I understood it to mean these poor kids going to University. As in unfortunate... Maybe that was just me.

I can see how you could have thought that. Its similar though, if you look at it that way too.

Yes. I kind of glanced at it and thought of it as "these poor kids are so unfortunate that they're going to college." Then I read it again and saw what it really meant.
