How Was Your Spring Break...Let Me Tell You About Mine!
First things first, we were on spring break through April 1st-10th. I had hoped to have a good time, you know, go to the beach, hang out with friends, just have fun.
Well, things didnt go how I wished they would. First my boss told me i had to work everynight on spring break from 4:00-10:00, so that cut out some of my fun time.
Next my jeep started acting up, so my stepfather who is a mechanic told me he would work on it. I was to borrow his little chevy s-10 to drive while my car was being worked on. (for those of you who dont know a s-10 is a really small truck.) My mom told me to take his truck for a test drive because it goes to the right when you press the brake. I started off around our dirt road and decided to get on the highway because I could not tell anything on our bumpy road. I took an old back road to get to the highway. That was my first mistake.
My second mistake came when I was going down the road and saw a large amount of water covering the entire road. I thought I could make it through. Well I didnt and I decided it was a bad idea after the water had risen to my window. Well if this wasnt bad enough instead of crawling out the window, I was freaking out and was scared that I tore up the truck, so I opened the door to get out. Water came rushing in and filled the cab of the truck and the back of the truck rose up out of the water. I just stood in the water looking at the truck freaking out.
Well I guess standing in three foot of water or more on a cool day is the best way to get a cold, so I got one. I went to the doctor for a cough and sore throat, yet I left with a non-cureable disease which I will now have to take medication for the rest of my life and I'm only 17. (Am I good or what? I'll teach you guys how to do all of this one day.)
Next I go to work and my knee swells up to where I can hardly walk. I guess something bit me in the water or something. Well my girlfriend called me and wanted me to go shopping with her I told her I couldn't walk and she said she was tired of me making up excuses, so that was the end of that relationship.
Finally my father asked me to go fishing out in the ocean with him. Well I hate fishing and apparently thought I would have a good time, so I went. Well I've decided the waves are pretty rough when the wind is blowing about 20 mph for a little boat at least. I was thrown all around the boat, every which way but out. Well I didnt feel like fishing after that so I just sat there. Well with the sun shining down on me and the wind blowing like it was, I got burned...and I mean burned. Again it hurts to walk and I feel so sore. Yet I still had to go to work. Otherwise I couldnt afford my broken car payment.
Things couldn't get worse right...wrong. I spent $70 on a part for my jeep and it was the wrong part. They told us they would send off for the right part and it should be there the next day. It wasnt, it was the wrong part again. Well I'm still sitting here waiting on my part with my cold, medication, and burnt body.
