Eagle Eye
After the Righteous Kill fiasco of a movie, I didn't have very high hopes for the rest of this season. Eagle Eye didn't look particularly interesting at all. But it is. Definitely one to check out if you're going to the theaters in the next couple weeks. The actors all perform well, the story is frightening, the execution is well done, although the directing is fairly generic, and it's one of those movies that had me wanting the bad guy to win. They cop out a little at the end letting a certain character live when he/she should have died, but the rest was good. I turned it on expecting to watch a couple minutes then cut it off, but ended up watching the whole two hours.
It's a fun watch, if nothing else. Science fiction/political thriller/spy movie all rolled into one. It had me thinking of Target, The Matrix, Enemy of the State, and Terminator while watching. It almost feels like it's a sub-par Philip Dick story.
I was just really surprised by this one. The Shia guy does a pretty good job. It's pretty sad when an Indiana Jones movie is the darkest spot on an actor's resume. Perez and Thorton are good as well.
Not a perfect movie, but it's better than the others in theaters right now.
I'd be intrested to hear what if others liked it as much as I did.

I haven't seen it yet, but it looks pretty good. Did you watch it on NinjaVideo? If so, then I'll try to DL it tomorrow sometime and watch it on my next day off.

I have to get used to your new avatar simplicity. I keep throwing my hands in the air; dropped my damn soda pop.
I hope it's not loaded.

I may be a little reluctant to disagree with you in the future!

uhg not something i would see again. Though I will say it kept my friend and I entertained for hours making fun of certain aspects of it.
I did like the acting, but it honestly felt like it was trying to hard to be something it wasn't.
There is more I want to write, but I don't wanna give anything away for those that wanna see it.

Yeah, it's hard to talk about it with out giving things away. I'll just say that most movies like this start out strong because the overall plot is mysterious, then gets lame when it's all revealed, whereas with this one I actually liked when the whole story was revealed.
Yeah, I watched it on NinjaVideo.

I just watched Righteous Kill last night, expecting it to be good because De Niro and Pacino were in it. What a load of bollocks! It's one of the worst movies I've watched this year, and probably the worst I've seen either of those two in.
I'll have to check this one out, Malone. It can't be any worse than Righteous Kill.
