Requiem for a dream (Lux Aeterna)
This piece is one of the most exiting and moving I've ever heard. It's widely used in many films and I love it. It's the reason that requiem for a dream really hit home for me.
For you best listening pleasure, your curtains should be drawn, your lights off, your monitor off and your eyes closed with your hands pressing your headphones as far into your ears as possible. Enjoy

I put up a few links in case one didn't work.

Yeah, that composer is awesome.
They talk a lot about the music on the DVD special features, if that interest you.

Awesome song. I've listened to a bunch of times and I've never even seen the movie.

It, the movie, made me not want to take drugs more than any school program combined.

I enjoyed the movie and pretended to enjoy the novel...I quit reading it today, at page 130. The dialogue is amazing, though, and I do recommend the novel, as it is a very unique work.

I have a feeling the author of Requiem may have been one of McCarthy's influences. For obvious reasons.

Wasn't McCarthy's debut made in the 70s? When did Hubert...whatever his name is, make his appearance? And if we're speaking dialogue, I'd think it hard to find something as candid and fierce as Requiem. Sheeit.

He was in the sixties and seventies. I thought McCormac was 80s. My B.

Thanks for the links, Comma. I hadn't known what that piece was called prior to following said links and had only heard it on various trailers.

Listening? I've already found it and burned it to CD so I can play it while driving.
I'm a happy camper.
