More like Transformers, I'd guess.

Typos abound. There are good automotive sf stories that aren't Transformers-X Marks the Pedwalk by Fritz Leiber, Auto-Da-Fe by Roger Zelazny come to mind. Spinrad's The Last of the Romany as well. Don't see much of a mission statement though.

Ode to a Car:
Oh car, Lexus, Ferrari, or Saturn
You fill my life with joy
And above all speeding tickets
I love you, I truly do
To be in your seat and feel your
Throbbing engine is divine
To be with you forever
Would be just fine

Kang that's an excellent site. Thank goodness I'm not attempting to compete with you. It would be madness to do so. I don't intend to compete with any other forums either. My site is built from frustration. I've written auto/fan/sci-fi for years, and I don't profess to be anywhere near a great writer, but I still get annoyed when publishers send rejection letters that simply state that they don't think their readers would find the genre interesting. I'm sure that there must be other writers that have come upon the same situation.
The intent of my meager forum is just to give a place where they can share their work. Tucanbundy and Malone, you're both right, and anything between those extremes is welcome. I procrastinated for several years, the opening of this site, and Kang's site displays well my reluctance. I'm not adept at building forums, and quite frankly, I know nothing about them. If it weren't for the building site walking me through it, I couldn't have done it. I used to drive race cars, yet I don't think any instance from that hobby could have compared to the fear I felt in building this site. I kept wondering just what kind of mess I'm getting myself into. I may fail at my attempt, but at least I will have tried.
