Righteous Kill

Has anyone else seen this? I thought it was horrible. Just really terrible stuff. Really no redeemable points at all. The only good line in the movie, "Most people respect the badge, but everyone respects the gun," was in the trailer, so that ruined that.
If you're thinking about going to see this or even renting it, save your money. Watch Dexter instead.

Huge dissapointment after Heat, the last collaboration of DeNiro and Pacino.

Even from the trailers you can tell the movie was just an excuse to have DeNiro and Pacino together.

Oh, that's a disappointment. Not surprising though. Actually, I didn't like that line. I feel people fear a gun, rather than respect it. It didn't ring true to me.

On a better front, that Lakeview Terrace movie, with Samual L., looks great and is getting outstanding reviews.

"Cleaner" was very good.

Really? Samuel Jackson doing the same role over and over garners great reviews?

Might have to check it out..or wait

Righteous Kill sucked horribly. I had a feeling that it would, but I just had to see it. Heat was one of the best movies ever, imho, and their collaboration in that movie was oscar worthy. I don't blame the actors though, I mean the director had a phenomenal cast, well, a good one. But good actors, even Deniro and Pacino, can't turn a poorly directed and written film into a good one.

Deniro is pretty much shit at this point. I can't look at the guy and feel that he's scary and intimidating after all the shit comedies he's put out.
Pacino was fucking awesome in this movie, though. He's getting scarier the older he gets. At the end, he really impressed me.

And what was up with 50cent and that douche from the MTV skateboarding show being in the movie? How fucking lame.

I gather they were more fun to watch in "Heat"?

They're partners in this one, and they have this very artifical feeling buddy chum-chum relationship they're trying to force.

I'd admired both in their prime, but neither is the man he used to be. DeNiro seems stuck on one setting and Pacino is drifting of into loopiness like Bill Murray.

To bad they don't age like fine wine in the manner of Christopher Walken or Dennis Hopper.
