Well then, perhaps you should vote that he remain a senator and go with the other guy. We'd be better off with someone who can multi-task for a change anyway. Besides, what difference would he make? I would think the other 99 senators should have it well in hand.
Edit: Well it's on. Good debate thus far.

My first impression: McCain is getting his ass kicked in the debates.

I think it's back and forth now, but I like Obama's commitment to deal directly with Afghanistan and Ben Laden, where it sounds like McCain wants to stay in Iraq to achieve some mythical victory, I don't Know what that would be. The head of Laden would be much more decisive.
On the war agianst terrorist. Obama = direct. McCain = Worried about people feelings on the war in Iraq. My opinion, it's a sunk cost, do not keep making the same mistakes.

McCain was hearkening back to Reagan and bringing up pointless anecdotes. He seemed a little out of touch. Obama did just what he needed to do -- he came off confident and composed.
No one came off as the clear winner, though. Obama hit hot buttons as far as what people want to hear -- tax cuts for the middle class, not the rich, health care etc. They both sounded very weak on the current economic crises.
McCain needed to hit it out of the park, or at least make a strong showing and he didn't do that. No big blunders on either side. I'm still absorbing it all, though.

I don't think McCaine is beaten yet. Obama just sits there and yells change for about 5 minutes. I'm sure that has to acount for something.

I never heard him yell.
On the off chance you were joking, it would help it you put (joke) next to every post you make.

I might have to watch it again. My dear old dad came over to watch it with us and couldn't keep his mouth shut.
I was surprised though, because I thought Obama did better. The talking heads on both FOX and CNN were basically calling a tie.
I realize it's all shit, for the most part. I'm talking about a perceived winner. About the performance. So everyone who is going to say it means nothing can just save it, as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry. It didn't read as a joke. Not even close --not when so many people feel just that way. It wasn't funny either. That may have something to do with it.

Thank you for your sarcasm. I don't like Obama, but I do realize that he is a great speaker.

Well, he's an old school Democrat, but pretty middle of the road. He agrees with me, that Obama just preformed better.
My dad seems to think that a lot of the mortgage/banking crises can be traced back to Democratic polices and he felt McCain blew it by not pointing this out when Obama was blaming it all on Bush.

Thanks, but I wasn't really being sarcastic.

As long as McCain didn't grab his chest and fall over dead, he came out on top.
Remember how Bush used to debate? It's all about low expectations.

I don't follow. I think Obama edged him.
As far as this mortagage/banking crises, Obama reasons that it was due to deregulation on the part of Bush's Admin. Sounds plausible. I don't know.

I'm not really sure what you mean. But if you go into the debates behind in the polls, you need to do better than tie.
