Are you ever impressed?
Are you ever impressed by some of the scenes in your novel? Do you feel as if the reader will be too?

No, but I've received enough positive feedback on this site to not care; if the readers like it, then I did something right. I guess.

I was googling for "Funny avatars," when I came across it. I laughed my ass off.

Only when it's in my head then I put it to paper and I think it sucks. I am my hardest critic.

I love my writing. Just yesterday I extended the ending to a story I lost SEVEN YEARS AGO. How can you not appreciate writing an ending to a long lost story? It's beautiful I tells ya.

Not in my own writing. Other people's writing impresses me occasionally, which is why I keep coming back here.

The closest I get to impressed in my own writing is 'hopeful'. Hopeful that it doesn't suck, as opposed to thinking I'm wasting my time.

Sometimes I hate what I write, but... There are times when I know what I do is impressive. When I say impressive, I mean artistically impressive. I am an abstract thinker, and there are times that I create images that I really believe are breathtaking and convey my thoughts precisely. People don't always get them, though. xD

Occasionally I'll re-read a scene I wrote a few months earlier and be quietly impressed with it. I always see ways to improve it, though.
