Star Wars: Clone Wars 3D
Why, Lucas? Why!
Star Wars is the first movie I can remember watching. Return of the Jedi came out the year I was born, and my grandpa and dad took me as an infant to see it.
This film is mediocre at best. I love Star Wars more than anything in the world (except for family), but this 3D film just didn't measure up. It was equal to the live action new three, though. I was kind of wondering why Lucas bothered going with humans at all when he just couldn't have done this old-school style of 3D animation or something more realistic.
Compared to the epic cartoon Clone Wars that was on the Cartoon Network ( which I think was better than the live action new three), this is pathetic. I enjoyed watching it and getting more info about what happens between the prequels, but the action, voice acting, and, well, everything, fell short of the cartoons. I couldn't even figure out when this new one was taking place. I guess prior to the cartoon, because I think the girl that Anakin kills in the cartoon was the bad guy in this one (or looked just like her).
So, don't waste your money on this in theaters, but I'd recommend checking it out as a rental or if a friend picks it up.
On that note, who do you guys and gals consider the greatest Jedi, excluding Yoda? I'd have to go with Obi Wan. The Sith don't count, and since Obi Wan can defeat Anakin/Vader, and Vader/Luke can destroy the Emperor, it seems like Obi Wan must be the greatest.
I'm a Star Wars nerd, if you can't tell.

NO NO NO NO NO NO! Do NOT rent/watch/bother with this movie EVER. Literally, the worst movie I have seen in memory. I Know Who Killed Me (the second worst movie I have ever seen), starring Lindsey Lohan was significantly more entertaining than this ridiculous, poorly written, poorly voiced piece of shit movie.
I'm not a Star Wars fan, past the original three films, I've watched them all though. I wouldn't have bothered with this one, but I spent a weekend ditching my sister-in-law and she invited me to go, so out of guilt I joined her. Dear God, I could have cried, it was so horrendous.
I know you're a fan Malone, and I know you're being somewhat critical of the film but you are being FAR too generous with your assessment. I was shocked that this was in theaters.

Oh, but the gay southern Ziro the Hutt (Jabba's uncle) was hilarious! I think the voice actor was the only one who read the script and decided NOT to take the role seriously at all.
EDIT: So, I just read up on it. Apparently, Lucas decided half way through the recording that Ziro should speak like Truman Capote. Hahahahahaha.

Haha. That gay Hut threw me off too. I was kind of stratching my head on that one.
I'll watch it again tomorrow with your opinion of it in mind. I definitely agree that I was being generous in my reiview.

Ki Adi Mundi, most definitely. His brave defense of Mygeeto would have catapulted him into Galactic history were it not for the Empire saying that he was executed for sabotaging the mission. And I sort of view any padawan of Yoda's as being sufficiently skilled to be great.
Yes. And he's cool looking.

Man, this sucks to hear. The Cartoon Network Clone Wars series was superb, so I'd held up hopes for this.
Greatest Jedi - Mace Windu deserves a nod. He did fight Palpatine to a stand-still, and Anakin hadn't gone all emo, he'd very probably have killed him. Even Yoda didn't get that far (though in all fairness, Yoda did end up losing his lightsaber and fell off a 5-story tower in the middle of the fight).
Mace supposedly had some freaky Force power that let him turn the Dark Side against its user, though, which was why he was able to wreck Palpatine's shit when none of the others could.
Plus he gets Samuel L. Jackson Yelling, which is +5 to ass-kicking.

Mace was the shit in the cartoon version, especially when he went against the droids with that earth pounder. He is barely in this new one at all, though.
I definitely think Yoda could have beaten Mace in a 1on1, though.

I don't care if it's bad! I'd throw down a thousand dollars to see it again and again and again and again...

I hated it, but I've never really been a fan of Star Wars or 3D movies.I probably won't ever watch it again. It's still no Manos though.

My partner loved it, and he's a super major fan of all things Star Wars. Which may very well be why he liked it, actually.
I've never seen all of Star Wars and/or understood it, so I'll wander out now.

Cartoon one rocks ass.
I'm catching this 3d one perhaps this friday. I hear it's rubbish but with too much free time on my hands I just watch it anyways.
Greatest Jedi - Qui Gon gets my vote. He's just uber cool.

I'm not sure... if you look at the relation of events in the third episode, it goes a bit like.
Windu > Palpatine > Yoda
But that brings about the question: did Yoda fail because of the prophecy or did he fail because of his skill?

I don't even remember Windu fighting the Emperor. I'll have the re-watch the third movie.
And Qui Gon is high on my list, but because Obi Wan defeated the Sith who killed Qui Gon, I have to assume Obi Wan is the superior Jedi.

Well if you're only going to consider who beats who in a lightsaber fight you'd be right. But Qui Gon remains a powerful influence even after his death.
