John Butler Trio - Ocean (Amazing!)
All you guitar and music freaks, check out this instrumental by John Butler. Truly it is one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard. Anyone who genuinely loves music should hear this before they die.

LOVE it! Seriously one of the coolest solos I've ever seen. First time I saw that, I was blown away by it. So much so that this is probably the dozenth time I've watched that vid.

He's Australian, isn't he, Ash? Awesome guitar player. I'd love to see him live myself.

I've heard of him before, but haven't gotten an album. I'm going to get one now - that was amazing. He has an interesting sound; it has a celtic tinge.
I love it when guitarists have a unique style. Check out this video, the guy uses a flamenco/slap guitar technique that's unique:
YouTube - Three - Joey Eppard - Bramfatura
The guitarist's name is Joey Eppard, he's the singer/guitarist for a progressive rock band named "3" (great band btw). Supposedly he puts superglue on his fingers to help with the way he plucks the strings.

Well, I clicked it because I like to think I genuinely love music. Very good. Kind of reminded me of Tim Reynolds, as cliched as that sounds. No black leather vest, here, though, so points for this guy. I'm gonna have to download some of this guy's tracks.

This makes me miss my guitar. I love acoustic anyways, but this guy is really amazing. I wouldn't mind seeing him live.

Man, it continues to surprise me how far out people are from the music world.
Andy Mckee and Antoine Du four are another two big names to check out with this style of guitar. There are several people off the top of my head who play like he does.

I googled and you tubed them both, and you weren't lying, they're both amazing. Damn, I miss my Fender acoustic so badly right now! I haven't played in 4 years, but there's nothing more gratifying (sp? ) then losing yourself in the music that you're playing.

Far out? I know both of them. Neither come close to playing the guitar the same way that Butler does. Don't get me wrong, they're both brilliant. Butler is just something else.

To truly appreciate just how hard (and how talented Butler is) you have to be able to play guitar. I've tried to play that song. Didn't even come close, and I'm a pretty good guitar player. The amount of notes, coupled with the speed he plays them, is fucking unreal.
