You have to load the Java applet (NinjaVideoHelper) at the top of the page, and make sure you have the DivX codecs they have linked under the video box.

My mom was listening to the radio the other day, and some guy called in and said he saw batman 3 times. He said the third time was the best because he was watching the people in the background. He said he didnt want to give anything away, but theres stuff going on in the background. Does anyone know what he was talking about? Or is the guy just insane?

I am downloading the DivX thing to run the movies and it's taking forever!( that and I keep getting distracted by GTA and going outside to smoke.) I'm hoping by the end of the night, I can proudly say " hey I watched it and it was amazing "..... We'll see though. :- )

**************** SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *************
First of all, what the hell happened to Gotham? All of the sudden it looks so fresh, new and modern. Nothing like we saw in Batman Begins. Sure, Batman is taking down criminals, but let's get real Gotham's look wouldn't change so drastically.
Nolan cut away from SO many scenes without showing us what happened, and some of the scenes were just ridiculous.
The opening scene with the bank robbery? EPIC. Such an amazing entrance for the Joker.
The next scene with Scarecrow and Batman? TERRIBLE. The action was cut up so bad we couldn't tell what the hell was going on.
Then the scene in the courtroom introducing Dent. Guy pulls a gun on him and he calmly takes it and punches him in the face? Come on.
The scene with Joker and his clowns showing up at the charity event. He drops Rachel out the window, Batman saves her...but then just leaves the Joker and his goons up there with all those people? Not to mention her line right after they hit the car was completely ludicrous. "Let's not do that again." Christ almighty.
The scene with Bruce driving the Lambo and taking the hit happened so fast I could barely register what happened there either. Then what happened after that? Everyone just went back to their daily grind, drinking coffee and reading the newspaper?
How about the part when Two-Face shoots the driver in the head and flies onto its roof. Did he even think before doing that? What happened to the Italian dude? How did Two-Face survive that? Come on Nolan. SHOW US.
And now to the big deal, and what I feel tarnishes the epic moral battle that took place within batman and between him and joker. *beep* the film was so good up until they ruined it by showing two-faces', well, 2nd face.
Like I said, Nolan has cemented his Batman franchise as grounded and real, up until we see the cartoon come to life in two-face and his ridiculous in tact eye ball after nearly being burned alive. IF Nolan HAD to show this, they should have had just burned skin where his eye was, that would have been more convincing and less ridiculous looking, despite what he looked like in the comic. Nolan's creative decision here was terrible.
Now to the even worse part about two-face. In the comic he is schizophrenic, and has anger issues all along. We see none of this even hinted at until Rachel dies. Sure, it was traumatizing. But expecting Eckhart to be able to handle such a daunting task at being convincing of this was asking way too much and it shows. His acting was forced and ridiculous at the end, suddenly becoming a cold blooded killer with tourettes syndrome at the flip of a coin. By the point where he flips in a coin in that town car, and shoots the driver instead I about had enough and had almost completely forgotten the amazing film between Joker and Batman and Gotham I had seen before it.
We should have never seen that side of two-face. Nolan should have left the bandages on. We know he got burned. We know what's coming. That scene with him and the Joker in the hospital was so well done, just imagine if he still had his bandages on. That was the BEGINNING of the Joker turning his "white knight" into his "dark knight." That should have been the last time we saw Dent. Nolan could have set up a 3rd installment PERFECTLY, but instead decided to kill off two-face after Joker's incredible speech he gave about dent while hanging upside down facing batman. What a perfect ending that would have been cross-cutting between Joker's dialogue and Eckhart in the hospital with the bandages still on...stewing, brewing, taking in everything Joker had said to him, looking at the gun, gripping it tightly...a new monster BEGINNING, not happening overnight like we saw. Even showing him getting out of the hospital bed, tearing off his IVs and storming out with the gun in his hand would have made a huge impact and been very effective I think, especially while cutting back and forth to the Joker.
The Joker blows the hospital up, but Dent lives? Nolan didn't show us that either. Then two-face goes on his ridiculous revenge killing spree like he's killed a dozen before. The film suddenly becomes about a character we were just introduced to and his need for revenge, and literally leaves the incredible work by Ledger hanging. Two-face was so unconvincing (partly because of how ridiculous he looked,) and again because we never saw a hint of this side of him like we should have.
Nolan simply got carried away at the end. Overall, I'd give the film an 7.9-8.2/10.
Anyone comparing this film to Godfather and the like and calling it the best film of the decade are insane. The immense amount of hyperbole in this thread is really kind of annoying.

******MORE SPOILERS!******
Yeah, the Two-Face transformation did suck. Harvey went from this decent guy to a sudden psychopath, and Rachel's death was not that good a reason to make this sudden switch. Remember when the Gordon said, "They will chase him[...]?"
Had they cut to a clip of Harvey waking up in the hospital at that moment, then it would have been great. But yes, the end felt rushed when compared to how everything went beforehand.
Every criticism you've thrown at this movie has crossed through my mind and I'm sure many others already. But still.
The movie's so damn fun!
And who compared it to The Grandfather? Munich came out, like, what? Two years ago? Three?
That movie kicked the shit out of this (no disrespect to Dark Knight, but still).

Actually, some guy in another thread said I'm the new Truth Teller. See that? Now everyone's going to randomly insult me if I poke into a thread.

I can't get to play on my stupid lap top. It's been buffering for about 30 minutes now. *sigh* Maybe it's a sign.

GodofLiterature...you just need to remind yourself something...
Its based off a comic book. haha. Nolan is going for a more realistic Batman, but really, how realistic can you make it? Its about a renegade billionaire who calls himself Batman running around kicking bad guy ass.

The Dark Knight Sucks
Yeah, but, it wasn't fun. It was boring as hell.
Iron Man was better with the dialouge and it had subtext.
