I hate the "Batman voice," that they make Bale use. It was annoying in the first one and annoying in this one. That said, it was still a great film.
And I'll bank on Two Face being the next baddie.

Two face is dead. Raz Al Ghul is dead. No one can take over for Heath. All other baddies are too outlandish for Nolan's Batman. Scarecrow is alive and kicking, the mob is always a constant threat. Looks like we got Batman Begins Again.
I just cant see Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Penguin, catwoman or Bain in Nolan's batman. :/ All the other baddies just dont seem too fit. Maybe Harley Quin or whatev that chicks name is. Or that Black Mask guy.

I'm pretty sure that Catwoman will be in the next one, and with Heath dead, I don't think they'll try and replace him. I think they could pull off all of the villains you mentioned, but that's just my oppinion.

I'll bet A-L's life that two-face is the next villain, followed by riddler. Both excellent villains.

Sorry A-L, he died in this movie. Looks like you're going to have to die.
I know you haven't seen it yet, but I assume you don't care Hippo, since you're reading this thread.
And Seven, I thought you said you saw it. Or at least you said the voice is annoying in this movie too. I guess you heard it on the previews?
And A-L, I don't think he'll do Catwoman. I hope not. If he does a woman, and it's not Harley Quinn, I think it would be Talia Al Ghul. He's had really good taste so far. Catwoman is just too cheezy for this kind of movie. GREAT for the old series. But shit for this.

Yup, it seems my time is near... Well, maybe the penguin...yeah, but I would really like to see Catwoman, for obvious reasons.

What AA said. Catwoman good for the old, bad for the new.
I hate woman in super hero movies cause theyre almost always slutty bad actors that take away from the action or if they do add to the action, its way outlandish. I mean, maybe Nolan could implement Talia Al ghul and make me like it, but I doubt it. >_> Same with Cat Woman.
Harley Quin I think would be cool as far as female villains go. Riddler is probably the next best bet. But even that...I dunno, Im shaky on it.
This is how I would make the third one. Joker is in Arkham. The mob boss breaks open the jail and scarecrow gets set free. Scarecrow uses some of his scare gas on Joker and it changes him enough that a different actor would actaully fit the role better. And while he is being fed the gas, he begins to transform his caretaker into Harley Quin. Harley sets him free, and thats where the movie would start.
But that would leave a lot of unhappy fans about joker. Best I can come up with though.

I haven't seen this movie yet, and I assumed the obvious. :- |
I watched a few Bale movies over the past week, like American Psycho and Batman Begins and personally, I think he ( Bale ) would have played an amazing Joker. BUT again, I haven't seen it yet, so I won't criticize.
By the way, American Psycho scared the shit out of me. :-\

i wonder if they would ever consider bringing Nicholson back? Do you think he could pull it off?
Oh and somebody said something about Robin. Bale said he would quit if they decided to bring in Robin. So youre safe
Quote:
Nolan is not committed to another sequel, explaining that he does not normally line up projects after completing a film. Gary Oldman is confident Nolan will return,[25] and Bale said he would return if Nolan did.[26] Oldman hinted in the third film Gordon would have to hunt down Batman.[27] He has also mentioned that the villain of the upcoming film may be The Riddler. [28] Nolan explained that as long as he is directing, he is not including Robin in the franchise because Bale is portraying a "young Batman", which meant "Robin's not for a few films". Nolan jokingly listed Frankie Muniz as a potential choice, if the studio forced him to cast.[29] Bale joked "I'll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work" if Robin is introduced.[30]
In addition, Nolan considered the Penguin difficult to portray on film, explaining, "There are certain characters that are easier to mesh with the more real take on Batman we're doing. The Penguin would be tricky."[31] Christina Ricci, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Kate Beckingsale have shown interest in playing Catwoman,[32][33] while David Tennant wishes to play the Riddler.[34] Prior to the release of The Dark Knight in 2008, David Goyer ruled out using the Penguin or Catwoman as a villain in a future film, prefering to use antagonists from the comic that had not yet been portrayed on the big screen.[35] After Heath Ledger's death in January 2008, it is unknown whether The Joker will come back or be recast.

Tennant ftw!

I saw the movie last night, and let me tell you, the movie lived up to its hype and then some. Just finished watching a TV review of the movie as well, and I completely agree with the reporter when he said "Jack Nicholson as the Joker was just Jack playing The Joker—it was fun and funny and Jack. No one will ever say this was just Heath Ledger playing The Joker." Of course, then he went on to give glowing comments, most of which I can't repeat verbatim at the moment... although 'phenomenal' and 'amazing' and 'the performance of the year' were definitely in there.
That performance deserves the Oscar.

Seriously, he nailed that performance, from voice to behavior I felt that it was the Joker rather than an actor.

If my post was muddy, I apologize. That's what I meant. Or rather, that's what the reporter that I agreed with meant. It was an incredible performance.
