No, but I like the title of the movie.

I'm not into comic books at all but I have been told that the original Batman had something of a dark side to him. I found that interesting given the tv images I saw of him a decade or more ago.

I dont understand what people have against Spiderman 3...

Man, if youre in this thread and havnt seen it, your crazy. Spoilers galore.

But TDK was friggen' awesome. Heath nailed the role. But I agree with Lin. Its just like Jack Sparrow, it was more the character than the acting that made it complete. But Heath did add the licking of the lips, the way he talked, his voice, he completed the characters image. But the magic trick was all Nolan, and thats what set the tone for the Joker for the rest of the movie. You gotta give them both major props for creating the joker together. Best movie villain of all time in my opinion.

Dent was cool. I really liked how his coin got burned and it had one white side and one black side and how all he really wanted was justice. But I dont think his suddenly going all bad really made sense. I think the joker should have really messed with his mind, and then have him be almost as insane as the joker himself but in a different way. Know what I mean? His transformation just wasnt all that believable.

Whats her face dies. YAY! I like batman being solo, and I didnt like the new actress. She wasnt nearly as hot. (Im 17, what else do i think about besides girls)

It was long, but I didnt want it to end.

I got kind of confused at the end with what Whats-His-Face was saying about Batman, can somebody explain why they were chasing batman and what exactly batman is to the people?

I have 3 favortite scenes, the magic trick, the ferry's (Yay for big black dude!), and when joker was hanging upside down talking to batman and hes talking about how him and batman were destined to do this forever and hes swaying all chaotic like, and batman is absolutely still and orderly. But then that reminded me that Heath cant make a sequel...

Two face is dead. In a realistic world, Joker would get the death sentence. In movie world, he'll escape. But Heath IS the joker. Even if someone were to be just as good as the joker, nobody could really connect with him for the sole fact that it isnt Heath. At least thats how I feel. The joker died with Heath. Such a shame. He never even got to see how much people loved him in this movie.

Scarecrow made a brief appearance. Kind of strange. I wish instead of the whole China thing they had had more scarecrow in it. I wanted to see the Joker with some of that scare gas in him.

Woo, long review. Well, more like a whole bunch of thoughts thrown together.

The Dick Tracy bad guys were much scarier. Deformities galore, killing people left and right, and that main guy was REALLY heartless and cruel, especially with Pacino playing him in the film. Or was it Deniro?

Batman was outcold. Just got back from the movie theater, though it does make me wonder how they are going to replace Heath in the next movie.

Actually, my best nominee for Joker would be Christian Bale. He's the most psycho sonbitch I've seen on film.

Bale couldn't pull it off. I don't think he has the right facial motions. The guy they have playing Gordon consistently astounds me in his roles, and I keep wishing I could see him as Joker. Fifth Element, The Professional, True Romance, he's crazy and scary in all of those. He doesn't have the right face either , though.

Really is a great movie. I wish I hadn't have known how great is was supposed to be, though. It lived up to my expectations, which is rare in this post-new Star Wars/Indiana Jones world.
Heath pretty much just copies Jack's Joker. He throws in his own stuff, and few other actors could pull off the character, but I watched the whole movie wishing it was Nicholson. Jack just got stuck in a mediocre Burton film with silly old school Burton clothes. Heath got to unleash the sickness and violence to an even higher degree than Jack. I'm still impressed that Heath had me thinking he was almost as good as Jack throughout though. The magic pencil trick blew me away.
The explosion with the napalm-esque disfigurement was awesome, but I was always under the impression Two Face was the result of an acid burn in the court room. Seems like they're changing up a few things.
Anyone else catch the Catwoman reference at the beginning? "This suit could hold up to a cat."

Watched it again, and now I have all these thoughts running through my head for a fanfiction. haha. Is there a bigger geek on the forum than me? Batman ff? I mean come on, does it get much worse than that?

I just have one question though, at the end of the movie, is Batman ok with breaking his one rule? When I was watching hte movie it seemed that was his conclusion at the end. That he couldnt be a goody goody and try and get everyone to love him. he has to be a cold hearted bastard that gets the job done. But afterwards that conclusion doesnt make sense to me, cause then the joker would have won by breaking his rules and moral code. Im kind of confused.

Every time he spoke in his Batman voice I was completely removed from the experience. I couldn't think of anything but Batman standing there with one of those voice boxes that throat cancer victims use.

Gary Oldman is amazing.

I liked it. I wasn't blown away or anything. I liked Ledger in most of his scenes, loved him in a few of them, and disliked his voice in some of his expanded dialogs.

The two-face thing seemed completely unnecessary to me.

A little too preachy, and the 'secret unlimited surveillance is acceptable in extreme situations as long as the right person controls it and it stops as soon as the terrorists are defeated' metaphor was clumsy.

Good action, great maniac. Great.

And yes; the magic pencil trick was the best thing I've seen in a movie since No Country for Old Men.

Cannot wait!

Doesn't come out in my stupid country till next Friday but my friends and I have managed to get tickets for a preview screening on Wednesday.

I'm resisting the temptation to dress up.

Just saw it. One of the best movies, period. The Joker was brilliant, I wasn't bored during any of it.

It's very hard to make a film with The Joker as a character and have it come out bad. Case in point: The Return of the Joker. A kids cartoon film with the Joker should suck, but somehow they manage to make a cartoon Joker seem like the scariest mu'fu**a since Sam L Jackson in Pulp Fiction.

And if anyone think's I'm lying, check this out:
YouTube - Joker Dies in "Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker"

"Oh Batman! If you had the nerve for THAT kind of fun you'd have done it years ago. I on the other hand..." STAB
