Well if someone offers to take your place, I'm not bothered just so long as I have 4 judges. Got 11 days until it goes live to find one. So any takers?

^ Nah, it's fine. I'd have to stick to my word, you know!
And besides, it's about time I stopped writing for a bit and read some of the works here in LM. Returning the favor, you know.
I'll judge, Potty. Sorry for the hassle and confusion.![]()
^ Made methink it's time to give back rather than just writing all the time. Not loving the theme this month either, so are you in need of any more judges?

Oh no, it's not a difficulty for me! I think it's time i did something other than just write and submit. I'll be more than happy to help out - actually, i'm a little bit excited for it!

I find judging to be far more challenging than writing for the competitions. It's much more difficult to try and explain why something does, or doesn't, work than it it is to just write it. But figuring that out helps me to understand how to make my own writing more effective. I hope.

No one's ever called me beautiful and smart. Maybe there's a reason for that...

The Dark Art Of Posting. A useful thread!

I have a wooden spoon and I'm not afraid to use it.
I'm hoping to enter the next LM - I was just wondered what counts as a 'word' in the word counts.
I use Open Office - it counts em hyphens as words - it sometimes counts speech marks as words - but then 'inky-black' counts as one word.
I was just wondering if someone could clarify the rules for me - and confirm Open Office is just plain wrong.
Evil.
I use open office and just go off whatever the wordcount tells me on there. So if it tells me 650 words and has counted random punctuation as words... I just believe it. Mainly becuase I don't have word and I'm not prepared to count the words myself :p
That's me anyway.
