Do we have theme for the next fortnight contest?
Writing is a dance, a hypnotic, mesmerizing dance. Come dance with me.
Current themes on the table are:
Cows in a field
The future is bright, the future is ruined.
Disabled Parking spaces
glass ballerina
Stain Glass window
Patchwork quilt
What stones remember
A silver box with a broken key (1 Vote)
Funny things that happen when the sky is burning (4 Votes)
Acts of charity Fools Errand
Judges so far: Fin.
I think I'm going to narrow the themes down to "Funny things that happen when the sky is burning" and "A silver box with a broken key" Since they have seen the most interest, if this is OK with everyone. Anyone else willing to judge?

And if I could get one of our lovely moderators to close the current competition threads for me, that would be fab!

I appreciate the support shown for Potty, as I'm sure he does. He's doing a great job of running the challenge and keeping it moving. There are a lot of aspects taken into account when choosing moderators for the site, it's not impossible that Potty will be offered that role at some point. I have to tell you all that this isn't something that's done as a result of member nominations.
I do appreciate it yes(Wasn't sure what to do about this, so ignored it until Baron got home from work!)
At the moment I just bumble about the forums, doing my own thing and occasionally getting a clip round the back of the head for doing something stupid. I'm not exactly moderator material... And we all know the first thing I would do is make a mistake and accidently delete the forums.
Thanks for your support anyway! If LAfox ever comes back and takes up her rightful place again I hope you will remember to show her the same.

Lol!
I can just see it now:
One morning users all around the globe woke up, yawning and smiling, and logged onto WritingForums.com with their breakfast, eager to read new posts and post their own works.
But they all saw the same screen.
"Oh CRAP! I accidentally deleted the forums!! I knew I shouldn't have clicked the bright red DO NOT PRESS THIS BUTTON! Sorry everyone.. no more forums now. All gone...- Potty"

No . . . I'm pretty sure the inciting incident for the end of the world as we know it will happen in one of the Debate threads about religion. This, according to scholars in various historical textbooks, was the inciting incident for World War 3.![]()

Poor Potty, I'm sure you wouldn't delete the forums. I'd bet you'd be a lovely moderator, if slightly crazy.

We understand completely, Captain! I trust the moderators are doing their best when it comes to selecting new moderators, as I've witnessed them do so ever since I came here. For that I give you all a thumbs-up for keeping the site well!
You're welcome! And surely we will show the same support for LaFox once she comes back.
