So I say we go ahead with the foody idea, and we have Moderan and AvA as our judges so far.
I have lots to do IRL at the moment, so I might ask Hawke to take the reins and put the competition up and have the judges send her their scores, though that doesn't mean she has to judge (unless you want to, Hawke?)

So one or two more judges to go.

@ LaFox: If you want, I could help you set up the thread for the next competition.

So, it'll be about food, a recipe perhaps, or a recipe included? Anyone have a particular challenge idea for this? Or did I miss that part?

Sure I'll do it. No problem, Fox.

Fuhrer, if you'd like to set up the thread for the next comp then that would be great. We'll have to wait for enough judges of course first. AVA, Mod, me... and we need one more. Any takers? Please?

EDIT: Eluixa: Earlier, I posted: "As for LM suggestions. I just did a tour around the site and noticed a lot of recipes. So what about that? Not a recipe, per say, but a character or characters making some sort of foodstuff/dish that's important to them for their own personal reasons." I think that's what everyone has agreed to.

I think with the topic of food we should keep it really broad. The parameters of a recipe or even people cooking is a bit limited when you think of all the things we could do with food. We could have a piece of fruit as the main character wanting to be picked over the bruised peach sitting next to him.
Or a big wedding where the food is the focus of the day.
Or a farm, or a starving family, or a delicatessen.
Or a story about the Sunday roast dinners put on every week by grandpa Joe.

Haha. Anyway. My point is, I would really love this challenge to be broad, like -
    ~Food, Glorious Food~
In 650 words write a story where food plays a big part.

Or something along those vague lines.

Ooooh food - great idea. I love the idea of keeping the prompt broad, i think it stimulates the imagination more that way and i like it when there is a lot of diversity in the entries.

I like this food idea...if we decide to stick with it (fingers crossed) I have a story already formulating in my mind that I think everyone will enjoy.

Fuhrer, you should most definitely be a judge.
So that's it - we have four judges (AvA, Moderan, Hawke and TheFuhrer02) and a theme?
Are we all okay with having the food theme broad? And calling it Food, Glorious Food ?

If so, go ahead and set up the challenge thread, young Fuhrer.

I think the theme sounds great. I'm eager to 'taste' the coming entries.
