uh thanks leyline, because I was being totally serious, you could tell by the tone conveyed by my choice of words "i will tear yo shit up!"

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. ha.

    Yeah, right.
not really sure what you're laughing at... my job requires me to move a lot, hence the unpredictable nature of my "professional life". in fact, I will be moving back to the US on the 10th, so hopefully I don't forget to submit my story for the contest... that'd be sad because I've got a neat idea

Actually, you made three posts claiming the same thing. The first was serious in tone.

I can judge if there is a shortage of judges, but be warned that I am exceedingly harsh.

wow, chill leyline, you've seen and received crits and feedback from me, so you know how i do it.

maybe the joke was stale the first time and shouldn't have been repeated three times, but please stop jumping down my throat for something you know from your personal experience to be untrue.

"Jumping down your throat?" LMAO. I don't think I'm the one who needs to chill. I was completely polite in both posts. And, all I was really doing was pointing out that, if you want to judge, claiming you're going to be harsh probably isn't the smartest move to get picked.

Kind of ironic that a little polite criticism got you so wound up. LOL

For what it's worth, I loved it. I just got around to reading all the entries and yours actually made me laugh out loud. So I'm rooting for you

A little less than two hours, people. A little less than two hours before the LM Dream challenge closes. If you've been dragging your feet about putting your entry up, now would be the time.

The LM "Dream" challenge threads are now closed. Judges, they're all yours.

Reminds me of when I lost my job and picked up a part time job as a hype man for 911 calls.

    Looking forward to this one.

If I repeat anything said in previous posts, it's because I don't read anyone else's crit until after I write my own.

Before anyone asks, yes I know the Dream scores were supposed to be posted yesterday. We're just waiting on a few judges is all (real life happenings, no doubt). Ah, but no worries. By the weekend(ish) it'll be all over but the shoutin'.

No reason we can't start brainstorming for the next prompt while waiting on the 'Dream' scores *hint hint* Though by 'we' I mean 'you guys' since I'll be offline for a bit.

Having been influenced by moderan's second-to-last post, I suggest "Creepy Toothless Old Men."

No, seriously. So I can say I did my bit, here are some selections from a list OX posted ages ago:

    You Can’t Miss It

    The Last Bus To . . .

    Along The Lane

Late At Night The Big Old House Gets Lonely

    Back To The Drawing Board

It Looks Nicer From Up Here

    Pack Your Bags

    The Whites Of Their Eyes

Come In Out Of The Rain

    Another Day Older

And randomly squeezed from the sponge that is my brain, I give you:

We Need Some Awesomeness Around Here

    Breakdown In Communications

    He's Dead, Jim

I'm Hearing Voices But All They Do Is Complain

Srry, My 'O' Key Is Brken

The Typo Gnomes Are Out To Get Me

There. I can also volunteer to be a backup judge, but I doubt I'll be needed since people seem to be clamoring to judge these things as of late.

LOL...I actually did a piece from that list-"Out of the Fog", which took all of five minutes and now has a place on the flash fiction page at my website.
I remember five or six people having already volunteered to judge the next round. Mebbe I'll have to do a story instead this time around. I like the "Communications Breakdown" idea but then that's one of my thematic hobbyhorses. "Creepy Toothless Old Men" works too. Something about buses appeals to me as well. I ride buses every day...and there's some unique bus riders in this part of the country, lemme tell you.
