Question So is this forum dead?

I read in the 2112 prompt that scores would be posted on Oct.13 but there has still been no activity on it. Unless I’m overlooking something blatantly obvious. I would read the top three to see what is considered good writing and the bottom three to make sure I didn’t make some of the same mistakes.

    So is this forum *kaput*?
If any of my post offends you, please tell me why, I could use a good laugh.

Haha, watch out Round Eye, you're beginning to sound like the Ox.

The forum's as dead as people allow it to be. It's also hard when people are connected through technology only. People can drop off without a word and you may never know what happened or why.

It's not that dead though. I've seen it worse.

Some will have to take initiative I guess.
    And then enthusiasm is needed.

Which can all be a pretty big ask when people have home lives, and work lives, and social lives, and are studying, or actually getting sufficient writing done. As far as I can gather, thems just the breaks

Earlier in the LM Coffee Shop thread, Eggo makes note that Hawke, who was running the LM, had had some offline difficulties-hence the lack of activity. Here:

Hmmm... so the scores for the last LM were never posted?

There's only three entries. And we can bug eggo and see if he had scores ready to go for that one. And Edropus. If not, why don't I, Leyline, Moderan and Alan judge that one? If you were offering Alan? Give it a week, then we can have the scores posted, and make a fresh start in 2010 to keep this ball rolling?

I thought Steph was taking over the LM from Patti?

Haven't seen either on-line for weeks, though.

I have my scores and will PM Ed for his. Not sure if 2.0 did his....

So we might need one more person to read through and send me their scores.

We'll plan on posting these as soon as we can and get this rolling again next year.

I hope you, or someone, gets another one going. And that future judges show a little more sense of responsibility than did one earlier this year who volunteered, was accepted, and then briefly vanished without, as far as I'm aware, a word of apology. And you wonder why I'm the way I am?

Rubbish. This is just a good outlet for your curmudgeony ways.

I should get my Dad on here. He'd out-grump even you I think. Haha.

Nobody wonders. You tell us on a regular basis. Y'know, I wonder what kinda judge you'd be. And why you're not starring in a production of "A Christmas Carol" somewhere. And many other things I shan't go into.
Anyway, it looks like we have some responsible judges, and can recommence after 1/1.

Yeah I don’t want the “old curmudgeon” reputation that Ox has. I didn’t mean the whole forum, just this sub-forum I guess. I was just wondering why the scores hadn’t been posted after so long.
