Thread: Hi, I'm Loren

Hello, all.

I was an avid writer and reader all the way up to entering University of Florida to major in creative writing, which is when I ceased both activities. My creativity, inspiration, and skill left me. Every time I tried to put pen to page, there was nothing. I figured I had wandered into a dormant stage and just had to wait until my passion was again awakened. There was doubt as to whether I ever really was a good writer and was ever really meant to be one. But of couse I knew the answer was yes.

Now, approaching age 30, I feel the crunch of time. I don't want to wait too long to begin pursuing my dream of being a published writer for fear of losing it forever. And different things have pushed me and inspired me to finally begin writing again now, after an eight year "hiatus".

So here I am. Thank you all.

Hello to you, Loren, and welcome to the forum. It's quite normal to have 'dormant' stages in writing - sometimes life just takes over, that's my experience.
