Okay, let's try this again....
I accidentally double-posted my introductory thread and apparently they both were automatically locked.
Soooooo...
Let me try again:
I'm an aspiring screenwriter. Seems like the majority of the membership here writes prose, from what I can tell. Anyway, from what little I've read on the forum, looks to be an interesting/educated bunch.
Can someone tell me who started this site? I know the purpose has to do with getting/offering feedback and tips on writing, but was this site begun by a random person/people just for the heck of it or is it part of a business?
Thanks.
Quint

Welcome, Quint. I write and critique prose and poetry, but good luck with your screenwriting anyway. I have a friend who wants to be a director and me to screenwrite for him. I said pay me first.
No, I don't know who started this place, but it's great. So welcome; enjoy yourself.

Welcome to the forum, Quint.
This site was created by Chrispian Burks in 2003. It's since been sold on. I think it was started just as a place where aspiring writers could workshop with other aspiring and published writers in order to help them improve their writing. Not sure, though.
