Thread: Hello

Hello, Writing Forums! I'm a college junior, majoring in physics and just this year declared creative writing as a second major... I'm hoping to get some writing done while I'm home for the summer and realized I was going to miss having a workshop group to tell me whether my stuff was any good. So here I am.

Maybe someone could answer a possibly-dumb question for me -- if I come up with a story I think is worth posting for feedback, which forum should I put it in? "Writer's Workshop," or "Critique and Advice," or "Short Stories"?

Depends on whether or not you want people outside of this forum (i.e. non-members) to be able to read your work. If the answer is no, post it in "Writers' Workshop". If not, post in "Critique and Advice". Use your own prerogative to determine whether it's a short story or not.

If you post it in writers workshop, you protect your first rights in case you ever decide to publish. Keep that in mind, as well.
