Hello. So, who else needs an agent?
Hey everyone, i just finished my first novel and I thought it'd be smart to join a forum. So I finished my novel in Spain, and after getting kick out of my house I moved to Michigan and finished my self revision. I'm really here just because my friend told me to share my first chapter to other people and find out if they like or not. So now, let's make a deal with every who reads this. If you read my first chapter then I'll read yours and we'll help one another out. Hey, in this competitive world all we have is one another so let's give some constructive criticism and have fun with it.
ps: Is it me or does anyone else need an agent

Hahaahha, yeah I guess I did leave that out, my bad. Go to the critiques and advice section and look for the title, My First Novel's First Chapter part A; I thought I needed two threads but I was wrong, part b is in the first reply.

Hello!
Sorry to hear that you got kicked out of your house, but it's good to see that you are writing.
I'll read your novel sometime tonight. I feel bad because you have a ton of views and no replies... Stay positive!
I'm not a writer, but I like to read. hehe

Welcome to the forums.
P.S. heh. Lately it seems that everyone who is joining up lately is more concerned with profits and agents and not writing for writing.
writing is more than just a way to make money. I'd like to see some people joining because they enjoy helping other people as well as writing.

Thanks fantasy girl, you're really fantastic.....lol.
I'm sorry to disappoint you industrial but I have to be realistic in some things, you know? If i don't make money then it's going to be hard to continue doing what I love, which is to write, no matter how bad i may be at it. Right now I'm a student but if I don't make money then I'll have to pick up a job to pay the bills and then find time to write but if I make money then I can just focus my attention on writing fun novels for people to read and then be really happy.
Also if I make lots and lots of money then that means lots and lots of people have read my novels and that makes me very, very, excited, and a tad giddy, wouldn't you agree industrial

Hate to sound somwhat negative, but why in the heck do you want to write to earn money? Most of us just write because they want to, and if you can earn some money with it, so much the better.
It never hurts to get a job, and when you should become a bestselling author, then it's early enough to quit that job.
Btw, welcome to the forum!

I want people to read what i write and for that to happen he has to get publish. Once it gets publish then that book needs to sell a lot so that a lot of people can read it. I don't think I'm wrong in saying this, but, I think everyone who writes has a desired for the whole world to read what they write. I would call this a dream. And if more money means more people reading your work then why wouldn't anyone welcome that?
Thanks for the welcome nickie
