So, I'm not very good at the "introduce yourself" thing. Maybe I'll have one of my characters introduce me--maybe not. Maybe I'll just make a bulleted list or two.
Here are some other things I'm not very good at and am looking forward to improving here:
- Getting started
- Being concise
- Using fun language only when it is functional
- Using parenthesis (only) where necessary
- Using dashes--only where necessary
Here are some things I'm pretty good at and hope to contribute to this community:
- Anal-retentive grammar-hawking
- Coming up with good kennings
- Incorporating artistic combinations of voice and POV
- Twisting flowers to look like hearts and stars
Okay, well maybe the last one won't be so important here... but I do have a lot of interesting life experiences and factoids stored up inside of me that make for interesting details during slow points in random plots.
I'm 17 and I've been writing seriously since 7th grade. I'm currently a student in high school and under-grad and an intern at a local floral shop. I used to only write poetry and essays, but lately I've only written things other than poetry and essays. My favorite authors are Ayn Rand and Norman Davies.
Oh yeah... and I like you guys.
