Hello, Tom, and welcome to the forum. The green bar beneath Nickie's name relates to the amount of posts she has made, which, as you can see, is over five-thousand. There are certain levels you get to when posting. You can see that Nickie has reached ten bars, which makes her a Wordsmith. I have reached seven which makes me a profound writer. Robin (Chim) has reached four which makes her a prolific writer. It's really just for fun and has no bearing on much actually. Here is the full list.
Newbie - 1
Writer - 25
Scribe - 50
Addict - 100
Prolific Writer - 200
Best-seller - 500
Adept Writer - 750
Profound Writer - 1000
Writing Machine - 1500
Ink Slinger - 2000
Wordsmith - 5000.
