I'm here
Hey everyone,
I've recently been looking around for a decent forums that touches upon my interests. This one looked as if it surpassed my prerequisites, so I figured I'd give it a shot and sign-up.
I suppose that I fashion myself somewhat of an amateur writer, though I probably don't have the adequate skill to back up such a self-proclaimed title. But there's always time to improve, no? The areas of writing which interest me most are probably fictional writing and journalism.
Anyway, I was hoping to post some of my work here and maybe pick up some helpful advice throughout my stay. I'll also try to offer some of my meager knowledge to the others here.
Cheers.
-Nick-

Hi, Nick. We are glad your made it to this forum. I once thought this was a nice "looking" forum, but that all changed once I met all the ass-holes and know-it-all's. But don't be bothered, they come and go. Just like my ex-girlfriends. It might eat yea up at first, but doesn't mean shit later. That is, of course, after you get some time to really think about things. But if you stick around and help others, they will help you. Unlike my ex's. They just leave everyone high and dry. But hey, it happens. Looks like you only have one post. You sure do have some work to do. But have no fear, writing is like the bike you stopped riding at age 16. If was fun when you were a kid, then you don't use one for about 20 years, then it's fun as hell again. Yeah, that didn't make much sense. But when you live in Minot, ND, and stay up tell 2 am, you really have nothing better to do than what I'm doing right now. Welcome to the forum. Oh yes, if your ever in the area, I'll buy yea a beer. Hmm, good joke. But seriously -- I will.
