Optional greeting ritual thing
Hi, I'm John. I'm twenty-two and have been writing fiction since I was in the first grade. I currently have hundreds of thousands of unpublished words under my belt, some passable and most terrible. I suppose I came to this site to read the work of others and see if I could learn a trick or two about what others perceive in writing that I miss. I probably won't post any of my own work, since I am somewhat uneasy about the possibility of seeing my junk in someone else's novel. Perhaps some day I'll loosen up. Maybe it's just a mood.
Anyway, I'm from Texas, soon to be a college graduate, and chasing dreams of making money for doing something I love. My favorite contemporary authors are George Martin, Chuck Palahniuk, Anne Rice, Salman Rushdie, Terry Goodkind (primarily his first five novels), The Late Great Kilgore Trout, and various fantasy authors you've never heard of. My name, Xejon, comes from one of the characters in a novel I'm working up sketches for.
