Hello all
I'm currently a college student in California. I used to be a very avid reader when I was younger, all the way through the first few years of high school. It began tapering off once we had to read a lot of books for class and focus on dissecting every single metaphor and motive. I'm trying to get back in the habit, and I'm attempting to write fiction in the process.
Yes, I did indeed steal my user name from the up-and-coming blues-rock band of the same name. I believe it fits me, though. The black keys form a pentatonic scale starting on Eb, and I've been in love with the blues since middle school. It also is a term used by a schizophrenic friend of the band to describe "people who weren't quite right", which I also see as an apt description of me.
I look forward to discussing writing-ish things with you guys, and hope I can be of help to others and find help here.
