Happy to be back
Hello out there,
I used to be a member a while ago but stopped logging on to finish my novel. I am happy to say that the novel is complete, and that I am in the process of trying to interest an agent for the purposes of reading my work.
I was always happy to read and contribute to the various threads on the site. I look forward to doing that again.
However, I am looking for direction as to whether looking for an agent is a good way to get published. I imagine there are as many ways to get published as there are writers out there. I am just trying to use all the resources I can think of.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, and thank you all for being here.

Hello again Rob. That's the way I'm going to go--with an agent.

Ho ho, a finished novel! Well done, Rob, and welcome back (I'm new, so: pleased to meet you!).
I haven't had to do the agent search yet (I wish I had something to show!) but, if I did, I know I would go to the Writers' and Artists' Yearbook which has excellent resources. I believe you can get it through Google.
Good luck. I look forward to seeing "you" in print.
