Keith G. Roberts is on a distinguished road
Biographic Neophyte

It has been about ten years since I have tried to write anything of substance; focusing since on advertising and tech writing. This week, I decided to try something different and penned a couple of chapters for a book far different from anything I have done before. It is a story outlining the life of my father, who was sent to sea at age 12, where he was to spend much of his life. His experiences, cultural perspectives and first hand interactions with history, I find to be fascinating. Truly living a life that could not be paralleled today, I have potentially titled the manuscript, “The Last of His Kind.”

While perhaps I should have at least given it a first read before posting, I have chosen to present it entirely unpolished, as a rough draft. It is my hope that I may learn from your input if my style is acceptable and my subject matter of any interest.

Thank you for your potential response,

Keith G. Roberts

It sounds interesting, I'll have to give it a look.

Welcome to the forums,

It sounds like a good story, and I too hope to give it a look.

Thanks for your interest Shinn, I hope you enjoy it. I am pleased with the responses generated by the forum. In just a few hours, I have already mailed several chapters to someone who asked, and he was kind enough to send me some thoughts in return. Thus far I am favorably impressed!
