New writer from the midwest

Hi, I've just turned 46 years old and have decided to write. In the past, I would have been the last person you would have seen with a book in my hand and now I'm at the book store all the time. English was my worst class in school..and now I'm paying for it, how ironic that the one thing I was sure to never do has a hold on Me. The books I've started reading are the classics like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The complete short stories of Ernest Hemingway, The Time Machine and The Invisible man ect...also the complete works of William Shakespear, that I'm just starting to read.

I have always daydreamed since I can remember... my wife calls it "out for icecream", anyways I have a few story concepts and decided to go with what I think is the easiest one to tackle first. I'm well into the first chapter and well see how it goes, but think "rewrite" well be a word common in my vocabulary. Since taking an intrest in writing my wife also picked up a pen and is writing, I think its comedy...because she is laughing as she writes.

Well thats it for now. I big Hello from a very green new writer that will need lots of help

Hello and welcome to the community, newwriterone. Shakespeare, huh? Excellent. I own The Globe Illustrated Shakespeare - The Complete Works Annotated. Love it to bits. Enjoy!
