Spelling challenged and dyslexic

No joke. I am the worst speller you will ever meet; but I love writing. Well it is more of a survival technique than (I was going to say ‘mear hobby’ but I couldn’t figure out how to spell ‘mear’ as in “an insignificant thing”) hobby. I get persistent piercing migraines if I don't write. I didn't realize that is what would make the headaches go away until recently so my whole life I have sort of shunned reading (because of the dyslexia) and writing (because of the spelling and grammar learning impairment). the reason I love writing now is because I have always had an over active imagination along with a bitter distain for reality, and writing, I found, is a good way to unload that onto others. that may sound cynical, as dose much of my fiction, because I have a chronic case of that as well. Needless to say I could us some improvement in all areas, and I would greatly appreciate any help I could get. I welcome any critique especially on my grammar and spelling. Critiquing content is important too and also welcome but I think my spelling and grammar is a bigger fish at this time. My vocabulary could use some bolstering as well so if you see a place that could use a more descriptive word don't hesitate to point it out.
I will try to offer my help where I can, but I don't know how much help I could offer. Really the only thing I feel comfortable commenting on is content and flow of a story, I do not think I am qualified to correct anyone on spelling or grammar.
Thank you all for the chance and the means to improve.

Nickie is an unknown quantity at this point
Hello there, and welcome to the forum. There are lots of people around here wanting to help out, and by way of starting I could already tell you that you should write 'Drachenblut' as your nickname, if you mean dragon's blood. I've lived 4 years in Germany, so I know a bit of that language.

Thanks. Ever since I came up with the handle I wasn't sure. I had gotten Drache and Drachen for dragon from a couple of different online translators but no real authority.

It sounds like your friends get depressed when you don't write. In the interest of preserving friends' lives I will be glad to take a gander at your chapter.
