Advice for new member on site please!

Hi
I'm new member from UK. Journalist as career so plenty of writing experience but attempting 1st novel. Need advice on how best to use this site for beginners please? It looks great but I don't want to go into the wrong forum and waste people's time. I'm looking to swap advice and help on plot development. Am happy to give advice and help others.

Hi Michelle, and welcome. Take some time to look around and you'll see how the site is used. Understandably, you'll find people of all ages, backgrounds and writing experience here. You'll need to think about how best the site can serve you, once you've had a look around.

Be aware that posts in most of the forums are viewable by non-members. If that matters to you, try the Writer's Workshop forum which is members only.

Cheers,
Rob
