Hello from Sudbury
Hello from Sudbury, Ontario!
I found this forum a couple of weeks ago while I was reading a bit about last year's NaNoWriMo. I'm ashamed to admit that my own NaNoWriMo novel didn't break the 300-word mark! I probably singlehandedly reduced Sudbury's word count average by a good 1000 words. Well, I wrote for one night, referring heavily to Wikipedia for my subject material (I was looking for an interesting historical shipwreck for a ghost story), then decided the next day that I didn't really care for a ghost story after all. And then I spent a week out of town taking a course, and the whole month was just shot.
For those who want to see the 294 words I finished anyways, here it is:

Anyways, great forum, great advice, and I hope I can make some good contributions myself soon.

Hey there dorix, and wecome to our little den of creativity. I didn't even enter NaNoWriMo at all, so you did better than me But I'm sure that we can help you, so that this year if you choose to enter you can do much better. Take a look around and see what you think of the site. And if you run into any problems, please just ask since I and most of the other members are always happy to help.
