Lunacy, Insanity, And A Pocket Full Of Huh?
Howdy folks.
I'm a 23 year old baker with a plate of aspirations and goals that I may or may never actually see come to fruition. I've been searching high and low for a community forum that could aid me in one of these little aspects of mine, and I believe that maybe this place could facilitate just that.
Yeah, I'm fairly strange. You'll probably come to understand that pretty well through my writing if you have time to read it. My mind bounces from one thing to the next like a plinko disc on the mini game of the same title on "The Price Is Right".
I graduated from a small highschool back in '02 and ever since I have been searching for a way to leave my mark on the world. I think everyone goes through this stage at one point in their life. The, "What can I offer those around me that would make me stand out? How can I leave a legacy? Will I be remembered when I have gone to the clearing at the end of the path?" mindbender that plagues many a soul at various points in their lives.
After much soul searching I came to the conclusion that there was no single trait of mine that was up to the task. Gladly, a thing's worth is not based on it's individual parts, but rather the sum of all of it's parts. I decided that in order for me to feel like I could accomplish anything with my life I would have to practice my individual skills in the demented hope that maybe, just maybe, I could ascend to a level where my thoughts could be translated into a medium that many people could actually enjoy. Something that had the power to stay with someone in some form for a very long time.
Right now I am working on my visual abilities with a friend on a webcomic that he writes. The original concept for the comic was based on a novel I started writing, but surrendered creative control to him so that it could be adapted. I continue to write the novelized version as a standalone thing just so that we can see how things differ in the end. It's a great experience. I have the opportunity to grow visually with my friend's comic and, hopefully if things pan out right, to grow as a writer here.
So I hope some folks here can assist me on my journey by giving me guidance and helping me stay encouraged. I do look forward to discussing things with you all later! Stay safe, and bugger it all it's already 3:00am, so good night as well!

Hi Lunatic! I look forward to seeing some of your writing - the more bizarre, the better.

Hi there Lunatic, and welcome to the asylum. I hope you find it to your liking, in terms of help with writing, and just general procrastinated. It will be fun watching you slowly become addicted... Anyway, take a look around and see what you think. If you run into any difficulties, I'm always happy to help so just ask.

First let me welcome you to the forum...and second please pardon my love of "puns".
To "bake" a "plate" of aspirations you will need at least a "pinch" of "floury" prose, words, "marinated" with plot, "basted" with action and the patience to wait for the ideas to "rise" and enough "dough" to last you until your "recipe" is "well done" and ready to "serve". BON APPETITE

Dear God, that was awful Seawings. That many baking metaphors don't belong in a single post
