Brandly New and Such
Hullo all.
I've done just a bit of searching around in the past, but never managed to find any sites where very many writers gather together. I think I was just a bit too specific in my previous searches though, because this place looks pretty amazing at a glance.
As for the long and short of myself: Having been interested in comics and writing from a young age, I decided it would be good to major in art at college. Not saying my writing is amazing or anything, but it's better than my drawing by a good margin, so I figured I'd work on my biggest weaknesses. Big mistake, but that happens, right? So now, four years later, I'm about two months from a double major in Studio Art / Art History, with no intent to ever use either so long as I live.
More than anything I enjoy creating ficiton (aka telling lies?), and in general I think writing is my favorite way of doing so. Thusly! I hope to be able to contribute something to the already thriving community, both in terms of producing and consuming!

Welcome to the forums! Given your liking for comics and writing along with your art background, have you looked into graphic novels?

I did look into them at one point. My dastardly scheme, given my terrible shortcomings with art, was to meet an artist to help me along during my time studying. As things progressed, I found life doesn't usually work that way, so it's all on the back burner now.
Anything that materializes will happen in its own time, I've decided. Until then, I can write down my stories in a more traditional manner.

Welcome, Liberius, to writing forums. An intersting allegory, fiction and lies Well, take a little look around and hopefully you'll like what you see. And if you need a hand with anything, don't hesitate to ask.
