Trinitas Revisited- The Thought Behind the Poem

In the grand scheme of things, this poem may not create even a ripple in the pool of ideas which capture your interest or imagination. From my individual standpoint, it is the manifestation of a spiritual journey of mine. It seems that I had been doing some heavy duty thinking about the subject of self-righteousness and the abhorrant scourge which it exacts upon all levels of humanity. Then suddenly and curiously, I was called upon to write a seasonal devotional for a church function. The assignment was to offer a thematic response to a scriptural passage. Would you believe that it was a section of Luke where the poor woman gave of all that she had out of her adoration for the lord. In contrast, their were present, wealthy donors who gave vast amounts, but it was tainted due to their underlying motivation to aggrandize there own standing within the community to make themselves "look good". Jesus was obviously repulsed by this hideous display. So then, this became the inspiration behind Trinitas. Please take a look at the attachment for further explanation.

Thank you.
