Hello Writers

Hello everyone, My name's Alex, and im an 18 year old Student, but i love to write stories when i can. Mainly i write short stories of a subtle horror/ supernatural style (i.e. not all out blood and gore- i find it gets old very easily if overused).

To be honest i never thought much of it, but i've been receiving some encouragement to do more with my writing, and so i was recommended to join a site or community where i can get some wider criticisms and ideas- and now here i am!

Thanks- just thought i'd say hi!

edit: I'd just like to ask: If i want to submit a short story for Criticism/advice, does it go in the 'Short Stories' forum, or the 'Critique and Advice' forum? I know it's probably a stupid question, but i can't see anything in the FAQs, and just wondering which is the correct forum (and which will get me most replies )
Alex

Hi Alex, I see nobody has answered your questions. You can put it in either and it will get critiques. However; if you really want good strong critiquing, I've found Critiques and Advice most helpful, because that's what people go there especially for.

Welcome on board and have fun.

Thanks I'll probably use Critique and advice then.
